Aluminium 5052 Sheets and Plates are primarily made from an aluminium alloy that includes magnesium (2.2–2.8%) and chromium (0.15–0.35%), along with small amounts of silicon, iron, and copper. They have a density of 2.68 g/cm³ and are known for their exceptional resistance to seawater and chemical corrosion. This alloy boasts a tensile strength ranging from 210 to 280 MPa and a yield strength of about 160 MPa, along with excellent weldability, moderate-to-high strength, and good formability. Since it’s a non-heat-treatable alloy, it retains stable mechanical properties during fabrication and welding processes.
